New floors

Hardwood floor installation — precision, from delivery to final coat.

Solid hardwood, engineered plank, or specialty species — installed dead flat, tight-jointed, and finished to the sheen you want. Twenty years of installation experience across Richmond and the surrounding counties.

Installations we do

Solid 3/4" tongue-and-groove hardwood — the classic. Engineered wide-plank for concrete slabs, basements, and homes with radiant heat. Reclaimed wood, quarter-sawn white oak, herringbone and chevron parquet. New-construction, remodel, and single-room replacements — we scope every job the same way: subfloor prep, moisture check, acclimation, then a straight install.

The prep that makes an install last

Most floor failures — cupping, gapping, squeaks that develop a year in — come from prep shortcuts. We check subfloor moisture with a meter (not a guess), let the wood acclimate in your home for 5–7 days before installation, and screw down every problem area of the subfloor before we start. That's why our installs stay flat.

Common questions

Floor Installation — answered.

Should I go solid hardwood or engineered?

Solid is the traditional answer and can be refinished many times over decades. Engineered handles moisture and radiant heat better — the right choice for basements, concrete slabs, or bathrooms adjacent to living space. We walk through both options in your estimate.

How long does a full-house install take?

Rough rule: 200 square feet per crew-day for installation, plus 2–3 more days if we're site-finishing (staining + sealing after install). We'll give you a firm timeline in your quote.
